This paste with no added MSG has flecks of crabmeat and has a very rich and robust crab flavor. Good for crab soup or dip. Combine with cream cheese, sour cream, Florida Bay Seasoning and crabmeat for a tasty dip. Cooked Atlantic Rock Crab meat is listed as the first ingredient.

Crab Bisque
1 1/2 lbs Fresh white lump crabmeat
1 c Vermouth
1 c Diced celery
1 c Diced onions
4 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp All-purpose flour
2 c Milk
2 c
Crab Base - L
(prepared according to package)
1 1/2 tsp
Mustard Dry English
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp
Pepper, Ground White
1/2 c Sherry wine
1/2 c Chopped parsley
Combine half the crab meat and vermouth in a blender and liquify; set aside.
Saute the celery and onion in butter in a large soup pot until barely tender.
Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring.
Gradually blend in the milk; continue cooking over low heat until creamy white sauce forms.
Add the liquified crab mixture, the remaining crab meat, prepared
Crab Base - L
, mustard, salt, pepper and sherry.
Bring the bisque to serving temperature; garnish with parsley.
