This light, semi-sweet beef flavor paste has a hint of onion, garlic and celery. Pale brown, translucent in color with no flecks of beef. This is a true Au Jus containing MSG with Hydrolyzed Corn Gluten as the first ingredient.

Beef and Sausage Cassoulet

1 lb Lean Ground Round
8 oz Reduced-fat smoked turkey sausage, halved lengthwise and sliced
1 med Sweet onion - chopped
3 Garlic cloves, minced
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can Crushed tomatoes
1 (6-ounce) can Tomato paste
15.5 oz Cannellinni Beans (white kidney beans), rinsed and drained
14 oz Beef Base - Au Jus (prepared according to package directions)
1 tsp Freshly ground pepper
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Sauté beef and sausage in a Dutch oven coated with cooking spray for 10 minutes or until beef crumbles and is no longer pink; drain.
Add onion and garlic; sauté for 5 minutes or until tender.
Stir in tomatoes and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 20 to 25 minutes.
